In a recent article, in collaboration with researchers from the UK and Canada, we have published on frailty trajectories in the years prior to death, using data from 8,317 deceased participants of the Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). We found that the progression of frailty before death was linear, but differed between men and women. The paper was published in BMC Geriatrics, and is Open Access.
